www.montereycountynow.com AUGUST 20-26, 2026 MONTEREY COUNTY WEEKLY 7 Protecting Kids. Expanding Access. Strengthening Our Community. According to the recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), access to healthcare services is one of our region’s top health concerns. The Salinas Valley Health Mobile Clinic helps address this need by bringing essential health services directly to underserved communities. Our Mobile Clinic helps keep children healthy through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program – a federally funded initiative that provides vaccines at no cost to eligible children. Access to these important vaccines – regardless of a family’s ability to pay – provides children a better chance of getting their recommended vaccinations on schedule and staying healthy. Eligibility • Children 18 years or younger Criteria (must meet one): • Medi-Cal • Uninsured • American Indian or Alaska Native “Some childhood vaccines don’t just protect your children, they can also help keep grandparents, older adults, and family members who are sick from getting very ill. Vaccinating children is one of the best ways to protect the whole family.” – Orlando Rodriguez, MD Family Medicine Specialist & Salinas Valley Health Chief Medical Officer For more information about our mobile clinic services, scan the QR code.
