MEET MICHAEL Michael was enrolled into Interim’s Wellness and Recovery Academy after decades of struggling with addiction and untreated mental health, and is now thriving in Interim’s permanent housing. “I kept finding myself back in the same cyclerehab, the streets, and eventually prison again. I didn’t know how to change, and I didn’t realize how much mental health played a role in my struggles. They taught me how to recognize my triggers, take my medications properly, and use coping skills to prevent relapse. For the first time, I feel like I’m living, not just existing.” Interim, Inc. is raising funds to support its latest permanent, affordable, supportive housing project, Marina Kai Apartments. This development will provide housing for very low-income individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have psychiatric disabilities. It will feature 23 studio apartments and a onebedroom unit for an on-site manager.
