His unexpected loss has left a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew him. Tommy was a Palma School alumnus, accomplished athlete, and Eagle Scout— achievements that reflected his dedication and character from a young age. He built a successful career in the restaurant industry over many years, where his natural charm, quick wit, and genuine warmth made him beloved by colleagues and customers alike. Tommy had the rare gift of making everyone around him feel at ease, and those who knew him well understood that it was impossible to stay mad at him for long. In recent years, Tommy faced many challenges with great success and steadfast determination, and was actively building the future he envisioned for himself before his life was so tragically cut short. He cherished his role as an uncle and spoke often of his dreams of one day becoming a father. His love for family and his hopes for what lay ahead were central to who he was. Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, David and Joan Hentges; his brothers, Stephen and John; aunts, uncles, cousins, his niece, and countless friends who will carry his memory forward with love and laughter. His humor, his heart, and his irreplaceable presence will be deeply missed.
