The Salvation Army in Monterey provides a variety of services, including: Rental and Utility Assistance, Food Assistance, Family Housing, Youth Programs and Spiritual Support as requested. Three of our largest programs address homelessness on the Peninsula. Frederiksen House is an emergency shelter for families. Casa De Las Palmas provides up to 15 families with supportive case management and private residences for up to two years. The Sabu Shake Sr. Good Samaritan Center, delivers basic needs in the community every day, as well as specialized care for neighbors experiencing homelessness, which include showers, laundry, and warm meals.
