There is more water in the river now, there are less dams and the habitat is improving. There are roughly two hundred adult Steelhead returning to their Carmel River natal waters annually. The Carmel River Steelhead Association has a goal of two thousand adult Steelhead returning home. It can be done but only if we keep at it. And we will!
