Thursday, Sept. 26 Party Hearty Everyone’s Harvest turns 21, and you know what that means. Party time! Binging on pitchers of fresh strawberries, double-daring a friend to down an entire vegetarian paella, games of charcuterie cone pong, dancing to the DJ—all stuff to regret in the morning. But on Sept. 26, go for it. Tickets to Seaside Sips & Celebrations include bites and your first drink. Chefs Brandon Miller and Lisa Clark will host cooking demos. At 4:45pm, the organizers promise “exciting announcements.” They aren’t dropping hints, so we’ll just put some guesses out there. An unlimited salad bar? A smoothie-chugging contest? Could be anything. Your ticket also gets you entered into a drawing for a $100 voucher. That’s a big Benjamin to keep the party going. [DF] 3-7pm Thursday, Sept. 26. Guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks sourced from local, minority-owned businesses, with dinner provided by the family-owned Banquetes Beltran and tequila tasting hosted by The Tequila People, all set to live music by Glenn Bell. Funds raised go to support the Siembra Latinos Fund; tickets are going fast and will only be available at the door based on availability. [KR] 5-7pm Thursday, Sept. 26. There’s beaches and forests, the sleepy nature of America’s Last Hometown and a burgeoning nightlife scene. In this instance, we’re talking about culinary flavors. The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce’s 12th annual Flavors of Pacific Grove features bites from more than 24 restaurants, as well as beer and wine from local breweries and wineries. Residents voted on what mural concept they wanted to see in the Patria alleyway, and several of them have followed the process on Instagram. Now, the “Salinas Habitats” mural in downtown Salinas is ready for all to see and the Salinas City Center Improvement Association is hosting a mural unveiling ceremony. The artists come from Hijos Del Sol Arts Productions, founded by artist José G. Ortiz. The nonprofit offers visual and multicultural arts education, experiences and mentorship, where young people are respected, develop artistic and life skills, and explore and embrace their cultural identities. Join a ribbon-cutting event 5pm on Thursday, Sept. 26, organized in partnership with the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce. The unveiling will include remarks from project partners and is an opportunity for attendees to meet the artists behind the mural.
