Edna was born in Congers, New York on July 19, 1931, to Frederick August Drescher and Edna Hockin Drescher. She grew up in Congers, New York, but moved to Salinas in 1951 where she met Leon Harris, whom she was married to for 25 years She worked for the County of Monterey for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. She sang in the choir at First United Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. She was an avid baseball fan, always rooting for the San Francisco Giants. She is survived by her sister Ann McGrade of Congers, NY, her son, David Harris (Esper) of Modesto, CA, her daughter Debbie Harris of Salinas, three grandsons: James Harris of Montgomery, AL, Joel Mead of Riverside, CA, Oliver Mead (Carrie) of Alexandra, VA, four great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
