DATE OF PUBLICATION: Wednesday, July 26, 2023 Sharon Weiman It is with great sadness that we announce the passing into heaven of Sharon Weiman. Sharon was born to Lolita and Bud Herman in Long Beach, California on July 29,1944 and passed on June 6, 2023, from chronic lung disease and heart failure. Sharon was raised in Southern California by Lolita and step father Ted Tedrow (who she adored). She graduated from Garden Grove High School and then went on to attend Beauty College in Southern California. She was a hairdresser for a number of years, also cutting hair for friends up until a few years ago. Sharon moved to Pacific Grove in the late 60’s. She was a hairdresser when she came up here, did some time bartending in Carmel Valley, and then became a school bus driver, eventually retiring from Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. Sharon was one-of-a-kind, as anyone who knew her would tell you. She could always make you laugh, and was a lot of fun to just be around. She touched a lot of peoples’ hearts and we’ll miss her terribly! Sharon was predeceased by her parents. Bud Herman, Lolita and Ted Tedrow, and her son, Derek, who passed in 2004. Sharon is survived by her husband, James Ewing, her son Sean Weiman and wife Lisa, their daughters Ava and Sophia (the great loves of Sharon’s life), and Jenifer and Keeva Weiman, her late son Derek’s wife and daughter. Sharon’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29 (which was Sharon’s birthday), at George Washington Park (corner of Alder and Sinex) in Pacific Grove, CA from 12 to 3pm.
